Spring Swim Registration open to new participants this Monday April 18th


Teaching people to swim is a priority at the YMCA.  We offer swim lessons for all levels beginning at 6 months through adult. 

We teach the nationally recognized Y Progressive swim program. We have a staff of certified guards and instructors who are experienced in teaching both children and adult’s aquatic skills and personal safety. We can teach you to swim whatever your age or ability.

Learn to swim – it’s a critical life skill.

Swim Lessons

6-36 months with parent: Introduction for babies and toddlers who have little or no water experience.  Enjoy games, songs, and safety tips.  Children learn the basics of kicking, scooping, and floating.  Parent or guardian must be in the water with children.

Pre-School, 3-5 years: 30-minute lessons teach children to be comfortable in the water, how to paddle in various positions, float, and make proper hand motions.

Progressive Swim, 6-17 years: 30-minute lessons provided for non-swimmer/beginner to advanced swimmer based on ability. Children will develop confidence in the water and learn different strokes (freestyle, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) as they complete the swim levels.  Success completion of level is required to advance to next level.


Swim Evaluations

Swim evaluations are required for all non-beginners.

Swim Evaluation Time: Please bring bathing suit and towel. A swim cap is required if hair is shoulder length or longer.  Goggles are optional.

Evaluations will be held: Monday-Thursday, 4 - 4:30 pm

Private/Semi-Private Swim Lessons (Ages 3 – Adult)

Private swim lessons are offered for children and adults who are interested in mastering a swimming skill or for those with special needs, or those seeking one on one instruction.


Lesson times are based on instructor and pool availability and subject to change.

Monday-Thursday, 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Monday and Wednesday, 9-10 p.m. (13 years and older)

Friday, 7-10 p.m., Saturday 2-5 p.m., Sunday 2-4 p.m.
